The trademarked ACP® stands for:
Adjustable Cradle Perch Bicycle Seat System
When I was trying to determine the best, yet compact description for the customization feature(s) of my bicycle seat design, I experimented with different words to get the consumers attention.
In the end, I settled on the three (3) key features:
First the bicycle seat is completely ADJUSTABLE. In fact, it has ten (10) options/adjustments to better fit the bicycle seat to each individual.
Secondly the seat is designed to function as a CRADLE to match a person’s sit bone width. Because each person has their unique sit bone width, the seat is adjustable to cradle the sit bones, or Ischial Tuberosities for optimum comfort.
Lastly, the PERCH defines the configuration and style of the individually mounted seat onto the wire frame. When properly installed and fitted, the bicycle seat is elevated above the wire frame where nothing is touching a person’s skeletal configuration except for the cradled perch. Thus, a rider is perched onto the seat and frame assembly with minimal contact to a person’s body, except for the sit bone.
